In front of the TV, wrapped up in my father's arms.
The night when you first sang to me,
When my memories were born, struck with reality.

Before I learned to speak I sang your songs.
I would sit back in the car, and hum your tapes along.
And when my mom would play your DVD,
I'd strap on to my guitar, and pretend that you were me.

And now, you're pushing 70.
